MorgenmadBreakfast
A healthy and delicious breakfast is served at all 96 Danhostel hostels. Danhostel has set a minimum standard for breakfast, which should consist of several different types of bread, butter, yoghurt-type milk products, cornflakes, oatmeal, muesli, cheese, jam and marmalade, honey, cold cuts, milk, juice, coffee and tea. Breakfast is served as a buffet and must be ordered the evening before at most hostels.

The price of breakfast in 2008 is DKK 45–65 per person – many hostels do, however, offer families a special breakfast deal. Half-price child portions are available to children under 12 for breakfast and dinner (this does not apply to groups).

Dinner
Some hostels also serve an evening meal. The hostel pages on this website show whether the hostel offers meals other than breakfast. You should be aware that, if a hostel serves an evening meal, it is served at a set time and must normally be ordered in the morning. In some cases, a minimum number of guests are required for dinner to be offered. Danhostel hostels that do not serve dinner are happy to point you in the direction of a good restaurant nearby, where you can eat at a reasonable price.
